Your Why - An important question when creating a soulful home.

WHY? Is actually a big multifaceted question. And that's not a bad thing because we are multifaceted and need a space that reflects all parts of us.

When I decided to write a blog post about this, it dawned on me just how big this question was. I thought I would just be writing about my business, but then I realised my why is so much more than just one reason.

2020 was a big life-changing year for so many people, including myself. It made me reevaluate everything in my life and what mattered to me. I think It got many people asking themselves, “what is my why?”

After much soul searching, I realised, or should I say remembered, that my goal/why in all of this was to give my kids and myself the most magical home I possibly could

I am lucky enough to be married to an amazing man (he wanted this in capitals) who is also a fantastic builder. We had undergone many renovations and projects together in our 14 years side by side, and time and time again, I would ask, “how do you do this if you’re not married to the builder?”. It was then I realised that my “Why” had to be shared. So I started Guided Designs to help every mum bring some magic to their kids’ lives. Or some magic to their WHY.

Your home, the space we all spend most of our time, should be somewhere that reflects how you want to feel. It should support the many facets of your WHY. It is an extension of who we are.

One of the most important questions I like to ask all of my clients is, “How do you want to feel in your space?”

To me, designing someone's home is an intuitive process. Everybody knows what they want or, at the very least, what they don't want if they trust their intuition.

Your home can be somewhere that supports your life goals.

This can be overwhelming if you're new here or have dipped your toes into the design and construction space. Hey, it can be overwhelming even if you know what you're doing. That’s why I’ve created layered services with over 20 years of building and design experience so that there’s something that can help everyone.
